Either connect your PSP to your PC or laptop via a USB cable and transfer the files directly to the correct folder on your PSP or use a compatible memory stick. To use a memory stick you need to first copy the files from the PC to the memory stick and then place the memory stick into the PSP.
It is preferable to use the USB method where possible, as it is very rare for problems to occur. As soon as the cable is plugged in to both devices the PSP should appear on your PC.
