Situated in the United Kingdom, RW Greeff supply industrial consumable products to a number of sectors. Principle supply partners include Dow Corning, Univar and 3M. The product catalogue features over eight thousand items, making it one of the most diverse and comprehensive product ranges available.

RW Greeff are the main UK technical partner for 3M and the latest in their product range is the RITE-LOK adhesive range. The range of adhesives covers everything from general day-to-day uses through to more advanced process solutions.

1. Adhesives which are Anaerobic - Single component engineering adhesives are extremely well performing and will cure in the presence of metal parts as well as the non-presence of air. These adhesives come with a range of strengths and viscosities and are also split into application categories. These categories are gasket making, threadlocking, pipe sealants and retaining.

2. Cyanoacrylate Adhesives - High specification single component adhesives that cure based on traces of moisture found on surfaces. Commonly referred to as superglues, cyanoarcrylates bond on a variety of substrates including metals, plastics, rubbers, wood and ceramics.

The Cyanoacrylate range offers a number of products formulated to meet specific bonding requirements including multi-purpose low odour, low bloom, metal bonding, high temperature resistant, rubber toughened, surface insensitive, plastic and rubbers and super fast curing applications.

3. UV Curing Adhesives - Created to be high performing, these are a single component adhesive. They are designed to cure when subjected to ultra violet lighting. They can cure very quickly, often within seconds to create an invisible bond line and become very strong. Ultra violet adhesives will bond most types of glass, plastic and metal substrates when there is a minimum of 1 surface that lets penetration of ultra violet light.

Ultra violet curing adhesives are offered in a variety of viscosities, they have curling properties which allows for a wide range of applications. Normal applications can be the bonding of glass, devices used in the medical profession and electronic potting.

4. Structural Adhesives and High Temperature Sealants - Ideally these adhesives work very well with the current range of structural adhesives from 3M. This is because they are product specific and therefore work best if used this way.

Silver loaded epoxy adhesives are designed to produce bonds which are electronically conductive. This feature allows them to be used in a variety of electrical and electronic purposes. If you are looking to make repairs to piping, tanks and castings, you can use a two-part putty which is ideal for these MRO applications. A two part but no-mix acrylic adhesive is SA30, handling strength is available after just one and a half minutes as well as being useful on most plastics. Due to this feature, it is well used in the signage market.
