Looking for some extra cash? Sure, we all are in this economy. Who doesn’t need additional income right now? But you’re probably employed full time already. Or, maybe you’re a student, or just someone’s who more laid back, and you just need work that’s flexible but pays well. Well, in both cases, valet parking attendant might be just what you’re looking for.

If money is your main consideration, well, that’s one of the best reasons to get a parking job. You’re not going to be the next Bill Gates, but you can do pretty well at this job. It’s common knowledge that tipping is expected when someone parks and retrieves your car. The vast majority of people honor this. If you’re out there when it’s raining, expect to do even better. Plus, your employer will be paying you a base amount.

Environment is another great benefit. Sure, you could go work at a factory, or be tied down in a retail business, but that’s no fun. With this job, you’ll be making cash, meeting the beautiful people, and driving nice cars. That’s hard to beat!

How would you like to work only when you want to? Well, with a lot of companies you can set your own availability, especially once you’ve been there a while. If you don’t want to work Friday night, you don’t have to. Same thing goes for the weekend. This won’t be the case at all valet parking companies, but it will be at a lot of them. They’ll just need some advance notice.

What are valet companies looking for in an employee? The really big one is someone with a clean driving record, and no criminal background. People will be entrusting some very expensive cars to your care, and the company will want to be sure you won’t wreck it or drive off with it. If you’ve been arrested, that might be a problem. If you’ve wrecked a couple cars, or have some tickets, that will certainly be a problem. But if you’re a safe driver with no skeletons in your closet, you’re fine.

You should have a professional appearance, too. Sorry, but if you’re covered with tattoos, you’re probably not going to get hired. You can talk to your prospective employer, and they may let you wear long sleeve shirts. But, frankly, they’re probably not going to hire someone with lots of tattoos. That image doesn’t exactly scream “safe driver.” The same goes double for body piercings.

Also, many companies won’t hire smokers or tobacco users. I know – you would never smoke in a person’s car, but there’s more to it than that. A lot of people are very sensitive to smoke, and they’ll be able to tell, even if you haven’t had a cigarette for a few hours before you park their car. Plus, good intentions are great, but many smokers are just too tempted to sneak behind the building and have a few quick puffs. And that can really stink up a car. And I don’t even think I have to tell you about your chances of getting a job if you’re a drug user!

But if you’re clean cut, don’t smoke, and have a clean record, you should definitely consider a job as a valet parking attendant. Forget flipping burgers and beating up your car delivering pizzas – get out there and park some cars and make some cash!

You may want to become a Fargo electrician. This is great choice for an occupation. Just like any other job though, being an electrician is truly a calling that can take years of determination to fulfill.

Jobs in Fargo

You’ll never run out of work in Fargo if you are an electrician. There are numerous wanted ads in both newspapers and online bulletins for electricians. The different available vacancies require electricians of varying levels of expertise from apprentices to master electricians. Beginners and unlicensed apprentices may be able to get as much as $22 per hour while the more experienced ones can expect rates ranging from $26-$40 per hour. That’s good enough considering that you may have to work for only five days in a week for eight hours a day.

Some people seem to be alarmed at the many available opportunities. It is a common belief that the more job vacancies there are, the lower the rate. There is no need to worry though. Unless the advertised job specifies a need for an apprentice, many job vacancies are for licensed individuals.

Not everyone working in this field has a license. You would definitely have an edge over other applicants. Your license and experience can get you the pay rate that you deserve.

What it Takes

You can’t just want to become a Fargo electrician and expect everything to fall into place. Even if you finish a course for electricians, there is no guarantee of success if you haven’t gone through extensive self preparation. Before you enroll for a course, you have to find out if you have what it takes when it comes to aptitude, interest and motivation.

Why do you want to be an electrician? It shouldn’t be because of the good pay. You should have a keen and natural interest for the field. Of course, it should also follow that you have the aptitude for it. Being an electrician involves knowing more than just the right wire connections. You also need to have critical analysis skills, exceptional eye- hand coordination and the ability to interpret technical blueprints.

Studying for Your Career

When you have decided that you are for the electrician profession, the next step is to go to school. You would have to go through both classroom study and actual apprenticeship before you can take the exam for a license. The entire process may last for five years. You also get to choose whether you would want to concentrate on construction or maintenance. In most cases though, it is better to have expertise in both areas.

You surely won’t become a Fargo electrician overnight. But the painstaking effort to reach your dreams will be worth it.

Many people do not understand the difference between the term insurance and wholelife insurance. I always thought that term is not worth the money, but that is not the case. In fact, most do not need whole life product. Though in certain situation, it is necessary.

Whole life insurance is particularly useful when you have a disabled child in the family. When that parents passed away, the wholelife insurance will ensure that the child receive proper coverage till the day he dies.

In other instances, term insurance is all anyone needs. This money can pay funeral expenses, and it can also give a family some money in the event that something happens to a parent at an early age. Accidents happen, and though we don?t like to think about it, having term insurance for this reason is always a good idea.

Term insurance lasts for a few years. Though some can be renew once it expires, however, it may not ne necessary once all your kids are grown and you can retire comfortably.

It is your call of course, but note that this will be the only income if some dies. And many choose to to give it to charities. Death can be anytime. You need something solid for your family.

No commitments

Let’s face it, when you are young, you don’t have anything to tie you down. You’re single, with no kids, and even your parents are used to you being here and there. You can pick up and go at any time, and this can be great for you.

Anything is worth a try

When you are young, chances are that you do not have any commitments. You do not have a stable job and a lot of responsibilities crowding your mind. Thus, it is the best time to try new things.

Lots Of Energy

Working abroad requires a lot of energy as most of the jobs will require physical effort and you will be required to work harder to acclimatize to the local setup. While you are young, and have energy to spare, you can go for such jobs and put that excess energy to good use and travel the world while you are at it.

Many Options

Most of the companies hire young individuals because they have the enthusiasm to work and the eagerness to learn. This also opens up a lot of options for you.

Many young people take up part time jobs abroad and they do so because they want to work but at the same time, enjoy the new place they are in and learn more about their culture.

Short Term Jobs

Work abroad jobs are also great for younger people because they are short term. You can work at a ski resort for a winter, or work somewhere else for just a few months. You don’t have to commit to long term, and you won’t be passed up on just because you don’t want to stay for a year.

Lots of new friends

Working abroad is a wonderful way to get to know a lot of people your own age who are working for similar interests and making lifelong friends. If you make a lot of friends in countries all over the world, then you will be able to rely on them again if you visit that country again.

Traveling

One of the biggest advantages of going abroad is that you will see new and exciting places. Change is a great thing when you are young, because age often brings in stasis.

Are you considering hiring a house cleaner? Some people believe it to be a luxury item, but others consider it survival.

There are lots of reasons people hire house cleaners. Many people put so many hours into their careers that their precious little free time is consumer with household chores. Quite often it is worth every cent to pay someone to clean your home, so that you truly do have free time, helping to create a better work life balance.

Others hire help because of other issues such as health challenges or they simply do not have the time in their busy schedules. Many elderly also hire help especially with larger more strenuous tasks.

There’s a couple of suggestions when deciding what’s best for your situation. Do you want to hire a cleaning company, or an individual who has their own business? There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

If you choose to hire a company some of the drawbacks is that is can be more expensive as they have more overhead to cover. You also may not get the same person each time, which is difficult if you found someone you really liked. On the other hand, if you are dissatisfied with the work you usually have recourse in complaining to a supervisor. Many of these companies provide training their employees.

On the other hand, sole business owners who do their own labor many times are a wonderful option. It’s their reputation on the line and many times go out of the way to make sure their customers are happy. Check if they are bonded or insured. If not, you have to decide it that’s a risk you’re willing to take or not.

It’s important to interview your potential person or company. Here’s some good starting questions. What are their rates? What does that include? Do they clean while you are home or away? Do they supply the cleaning supplies? Get references and check them.

Try to have an idea of what you’d like before the interview. Things like which tasks do you want done, how often and any other expectations.

Sometimes its surprising how reasonable it is to hire someone, especially in regards to the free time they’ll gain out of the deal. Perhaps it might mean cutting some expenses somewhere else to make it fit into the budget. Many people who hire someone say that it is worth every cent.

An RN can have several different job duties and career paths. When most folks think about an RN they probably picture them working in a hospital or maybe working in their Dr.s office. This is common as that is how most people experience face to face contact with a registered nurse.

In addition to working directly with patients some RNs go into a more management role overseeing other nurses.

So what career options are available to registered nurses? Of course most RNs work in hospitals and help patients with treatments but in different departments. For example some work in surgery or the maternity room as well as other departments.

Some nurses work at Doctors office or in a medical center and assist the doctor. Other nurses may only work in a laboratory setting.

Traveling to a patients home is common as well in a role called a home health nurse. They may go to someones house to help who is recovering from surgery or other illnesses.

Who else hires nurses? Private organizations and the government do for public health nurses. The will work in communities to help provide preventive care or to provide other services such as counseling families.

Ordering supplies and maintaining the medical equipment may be a job responsibility for head nurses. They also manage nurses under them and plan their schedules.

Other careers in nursing to consider include that of a nurse practitioner. This is an advanced position that will require licensure and additional training. Nurse practitioners are becoming more common place in a doctors office to help see and treat patients for common illnesses.
