You can make money on the internet with no start up costs. Maybe big internet companies would like to convince you otherwise and scoff if you said you did. Your secret is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is the best way to market yourself independently free of cost. You could try your hand at some paid marketing after a while, there are some that are pretty cheap to use. But for now, dedication, hard work, and commitment are all you need to invest. Patience to wait for the money to come rolling in is definitely a key component, but it too will come soon!

Like any other sector of the business world, affiliate marketing is a very competitive field. There are hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers out there around the world. Merchants who have a product to sell online need not even hire a sales staff, relying instead on this online army of affiliate marketers to sell their product. These companies create affiliate marketing plans where marketers receive a commission for each product sold. In general, these sorts of affiliate programs are free to join.

Once you join an affiliate program, the company provides you with a piece of html code that is uniquely yours. This code you place within your links to send visitors to the company’s promotional website. When one of your visitors purchases a product from the company website, you get your commission for that sale. This code is used in anything that you create online that will generate traffic to the sale.

Affiliate marketing is all about generating traffic, lots of traffic. One of the best traffic generators is article marketing, and it is free. There are thousands of affiliate marketers that use article marketing to generate steady streams of traffic to their company’s promotional site. This is how the majority of affiliate marketers make money with Internet marketing.

As an example of an article marketing technique, let us say that your company sells an e-book, “How To Strike Gold In Affiliate Marketing”. This e-book has all of the insider tips from the millionaire master himself, Mr. Milliondollarman. The product is a hot one! Even the “heavy hitters” of the marketing world are reading this e-book. The only problem is you do not have a website. But this is not a problem because you can use article marketing to generate your sales.

First, write some articles about generating traffic, aimed at affiliate marketers. These articles should be around 500 words or so in length. Make your articles engaging and easy to read, and make sure that they contain information that your readers can use. At the end of your articles, place a link (called a backlink in this context) to the merchant’s site containing your HTML code. Even without a website, you could be making money in affiliate marketing.

All of the promotional articles that you write you submit to one of several busy article directories on the Internet. The search engines regularly index these article directories and when they do, your articles become naturally indexed into the search engine directories. When someone is looking through the search engine for information about affiliate marketing, they find your articles. This is the nuts and bolts of the article marketing method that affiliate marketers use to make a lot of money.

Affiliate marketing and article marketing go hand in hand. Rarely will you see one without the other. It is one surefire way to make money with the Internet. It is an ongoing process that is a numbers game. The more compelling your articles are, the more traffic will be generated. The more traffic, the more visitors to your company’s site. The more visitors that convert to sales, the richer you become.
