If you own a bed & breakfast, you should consider using a brochure to generate more business. The number of people traveling this year will be slimmer due to increased gas and food prices. Therefore you need to be more aggressive so you can hook those who are traveling. A brochure can capture their attention and help them decide it is the perfect place for them to stay.

You have the option of creating the brochure on your own or with the assistance of a professional. Should you decide to do it yourself, you will find plenty of great software programs with templates. They really make it very simple to create great looking brochures with very little effort.

If you want to have a professional do it, you may find it is more cost effective to work with a freelancer. You can find one locally or online and they can do a terrific job for you. Regardless of who you use, make sure all of the details of the project are in writing. This should include what will take place, how many brochures they will provide, the deadline for completing the work, and how much you will pay them.

Brochures of such a nature can be as basic or as detailed as you would like them to be. It is wise to experiment with a few different layouts before you commit to the completed project. This way you can make sure you are very happy with it. Ask several people to give you their opinion as well. The may have questions you want to cover in the brochure that you may just assume guests would know about.

You want them to be printed on quality paper. They can have only two sides or they can be folded with more details on the inside pages. You need to make sure everything is spelled correctly. Grammar is a concern as well so don’t overlook it. You don’t want materials out there linked to your business that aren’t professional looking in every way.

If you are stuck trying to fill out the rest of the lay out, then turn to your customers. Have pictures of them enjoying themselves. Ask if you can use comments they have submitted about your business on the brochure. You can even offer a coupon for a set dollar amount off or a percentage of the price off. Your guests will love finding such additional savings.

There are many wonderful places where you can display your completed brochures. You have likely seen locations where many different ones are displayed for locations in the area. You may be surprised at the number of people who pick them up as they travel through. Individuals who live in the area also send them to friends and family members who will be visiting as well.

A brochure is a very inexpensive yet effective tool you can use to market your bed & breakfast. The more you work to get exposure the more guests you will have staying with you. Empty rooms mean less profits so do all you can to get people to see what you have available.
