Mobile developers have a tough time within their industry. It is always a matter of staying on top and producing the latest items to entice the public into buying their merchandise. It is a world where technology is developed at an astounding speed. The new thing today is the outdated, obsolete model of tomorrow. Pocket PCs are continuously changing and developers must find new ways to make their products faster, hold more memory and become more compact without sacrificing screen size. As a customer, you benefit from this drive to succeed.

So who are these mobile developers? Well, you have probably heard of the big companies such as Apple, Palm, Blackberry, Dell, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft. Those, along with various other cellular companies and computer companies, are the ones responsible for developing new technologies in handheld pocket PCs, PDAs and cellular phones such as the Smartphone and the iPhone.

The intention behind the developer’s work is to have a handheld device that is versatile, functional and capable of running different PC software systems for people on the go.

That is not the main goal of these developers. They want your PalmOs to run faster, for your iPhone and your latest iPAQ pocket PC to have faster processing speeds. They want the screens to appear bigger and brighter, without sacrificing the light weight feel of these handheld machines. More and more developing companies are turning away from one dimensional aspects of pocket PCs, for example, and instead want the handhelds to be as versatile as the iPhone, with its application software and its calling capabilities.

If you think that these mobile developers are able to sit back and enjoy their success, then think again.

As evident by the continuously improved models and new devices entering the market, no developer can afford to let their products go stagnant and outdated. They must continuously work to improve hand held devices so that more information can be processed and the buyer can use the device for more than one task.

This is a mobile world and technology has to be just as mobile as everyone else seems to be. You have undoubtedly seen some of their latest handiwork with touch screen technology that eliminates the need for a stylus, scroll button or directional pad. That is just one of the many advancements they have given us.
