Free Hidden Objects Games Are Cool
May 25, 2008 – 8:41 pmThese games, which you play on your computer, are one of the most addicting games I have seen in a while. I know most of the time the Xbox and Wii get all of the media pub, but these free hidden object games are right there in popularity amongst the computer crowd. I think just the mere simplicity of these games is what keeps people coming back for more and more.
What is the goal?
The object in these games is to find the list of items it tells you to find. Sort of like when you were a kid, and normally in the dentist office, and started looking through the Highlights magazine. The best part of that book was the section where you were supposed to find the stuff it told you to. These games work just like this.
So why are these games getting so much publicity?
Because they are simple, and yet so difficult. They are simple games from the point that there are not all of the graphics and fighting and blowing up stuff. It is just go and find some stuff. They are difficult because they place you on a timer. You will only have a certain amount of time to get the job done. This could be to find a certain amount of clues, or just to put together a puzzle. Either way, you are under the gun.
I think the other part of the games that fascinate me is the fact many of these are based on some very popular topics and books from the past. You can find games based on the Titanic, on Sherlock Holmes, and even a cool game based on Agatha Christie. And, for those of you not interested in these, there are plenty of others to choose from.
One other thing that makes these games so cool is the game within the games. There will be times where you can do some additional figuring out for extra points, but you must do it fast. While there is no time on these smaller games, it is still taking away from your overall time. Do them fast, or just skip them. You must decide.
These are the sort of games geared towards people who like to think a bit, and don’t mind getting stumped. If you just want some action and fighting games, then these are not for you. But if you want to compete, and beat the computer and get the job done, then these free hidden objects games are some very good ones to start with.
