Cheat Codes: A Different Game Each Time You Play
June 6, 2008 – 1:42 amThere are people who drag out reading a book forever because love it so much. The same is true for some video games. Have you ever been so involved in the world of a game that you really didn’t want to beat it? Have you ever ended a game and wished there had been more to it? Or wished it had been a lot harder? There is a way to replay and get more out of your video games. With cheat codes, you can play the same game many times and make it different every time.
Cheat codes are built into the games by the creators. At one time, they were mainly shortcuts to enable game testers to work faster. When players discovered them, however, they loved them and started expecting them. Game makers began putting all sorts of codes, unlockables, and “Easter eggs” into all games. Today, there are lots of publications and game sites where you can find codes for about any game ever produced.
The cheat codes make the games more appealing. There are also cheats to take short cuts and skip levels, which players with limited time appreciate. Game cheats give you control over several aspects of the game. In some games, you can go into God mode and become invincible. Some codes give you extra health, unlimited ammo, or wealth. Others are just wacky, like the giant head code. In some games, cheat codes can make the game more complicated instead of quicker.
Every game has its own world, so the cheats are designed to suit. In Grand Theft Auto, for example, which is known for chaos and unhihibited violence, cheats allow you to mess with non player characters and vehicles. You can make garbage trucks fly; you can arm pedestrians and make them turn on you. Every time you play, you can try something different.
A game is not necessarily over after you have mastered it. Game cheats help you get the most out of a game you love. With cheat codes, you can play a game over and over and make it different every time.
