3 Tips to Prevent Adult Acne Breakouts From Exercise
Everyone knows that moderate exercise helps to maintain a healthy body. It also can manage your stress levels and good for your skin. If you find your acne is aggravated by regular exercise, then you may want to examine your routine. Normally, it is caused by something you put on your body rather something you do with it.
You can take steps to avoid making your condition worse if you have adult acne. There are 3 steps that you can follow to prevent adult acne breakouts from exercise.
Always Wear Sunscreen
Sun protection is extremely important for anyone who have acne problem. Sunscreens and sun blockers should be used regularly and liberally to protect the face. Studies show that prolonged exposure will promotes comedones (clogged pores) and sun damage. Moreover some acne medication makes skin more sensitive to the sun.
Try to look for the sunscreen which have a protection factor of at least SPF 15 for both UVA and UVB rays and oil-free. If you find that chemical sunscreens cause irritation, stinging or worsening of your acne, you might consider using physical barrier sun blocks which contain titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.
Avoid To Wear Synthetic Cloth
If you having problem with body acne, you should try to wear cloth which made of natural fabrics during exercise. Compare to the synthetic fabrics that can trap the heat and moisture against your skin, the natural fabrics allow the skin to breathe. This will minimize the risk of friction. However you may want to try some of the new fabrics designed to wick moisture away from your skin if you’re exercising vigorously and working up a good sweat.
Shower Off Immediately
When you exercise, your movement generates heat, clothing and equipment cause friction. Until you shower off, heat and moisture are trapped against your skin, creating an ideal breeding ground for the spread of bacteria. To sweat off your face, always use a clean towel and blot gently. It will be best if you shower off immediately and change into dry clothes after exercising.
