Many Americans are feeling the pain of high gas prices. It is getting to the point where people are realizing that they have to make a change because nobody else is going to help them ease the burden of high gas prices. The problem is that many people just do not know how to stop using so much gasoline.

What people are not realizing is that there alternatives to gasoline. Biodiesel is one of the alternative fuel sources that has seen a tremendous rise in use and popularity since the beginning of the gas price hike.

So what exactly is biodiesel? Biodiesel is an alternative fuel source made from natural ingredients. Biodiesel can be made on large and small scale too! And the best part of it all is that you can even make it at home.

The main ingredients are all natural too- alcohol, lye and water. These ingredients are mixed together and allowed to settle and then the biodiesel is separated from the bi-product, glycerin, and can be used in any diesel running engine.
