Either you are a baby shower party planner of a shower guest, you will need some ideas on baby shower crafts that would make the party livelier and more exciting for everyone. As you work on your research, you will find that there are lots and lots of baby shower craft ideas that you could use in planning the party or a guest could suggest to the planner, provided that the materials are readily prepared.

Use gift bags to fill with candy for baby shower party favors. This is a great baby shower craft. Bags can be printed on standard computer paper to give the bag a bit more color and thickness. Pink paper was picked up at a local Joann’s Fabric and Craft store. It was in the scrapbooking and rubber stamping section.

You can also try this baby shower craft. You’ll need clear plastic baby bottles and different colored sand. Have each guest fill their own baby bottle with different color sands for their very own sand art baby bottle. Baby shower cards and bags can be printed on standard computer paper.

When the cameras are full, have a volunteer rush to have them developed. Then, when the baby shower pictures return, start scrapbooking. Ideally, baby shower guests would get to do the page with their picture on it. Usually, its easy to keep this project a secret and present at the end of the baby shower.

Before dessert is served, bring in a tray of various baby foods, with the labels removed. Number each bottle and have the guests look at each (no tasting or smelling.) and write down what they think it contains. The winner is the person who identifies the most correct foods.

Baby shower crafts are well suited to beading projects. A unique way to identify guests at a party would be to create baby necklaces, similar to the kind that are worn by babies at the hospital. These kinds of beads, which have letters on them, can be purchased at a supply store.

Suitable baby shower crafts for a nursery rhyme themed shower include a paper tablecloth decorated with written out nursery rhymes and paper cutouts of popular nursery rhyme figures decorating the wall. A decorative centerpiece is another great baby shower craft idea and can be made of “silver bells and cockle shells” (lilies of the valley and seashells.) Star shaped glitter can be sprinkled inside the invitation envelopes and also sprinkled around candles and flower arrangements for a star themed shower.

You can also ask older brothers and sisters to record the happy mother and guests as they laugh and make jokes. By involving the entire family in the baby shower crafts you let them see that this event is part of their lives and that they too can contribute towards the arrival of their new family member. One way of getting original baby shower crafts that are of an instant nature would involve the older siblings in making something. This can be a painting that that shows how happy and excited they are.
