Sympathetic Friends Suggest Conservative Lingerie for Honeymooner

The purchase of lingerie for your honeymoon is one of those occasions the sympathetic friends might call a double edged sword. On the one hand you want to be attractive and a bit playful with your new spouse but on the other hand this might not be the best time to go all out and display yourself in a manner that might make your new spouse a bit uncomfortable. Remember that the honeymoon is the first time you and your new spouse will have the opportunity to spend time together as husband and wife, and therefore it is in many ways a continuation of the wedding ceremony itself.

It is not surprising that you want to look your best and doll yourself up. While you are at it, you do not just want to look nice and present yourself well with your outerwear, but you also want to sport some new lingerie and there is no better occasion than a honeymoon to go out and buy some new pieces, but while the clothing designed for the bedroom is a great way of setting the mood and getting comfortable, it can also be a way to do a bit more than recommended!

Sure, you want to spice things up and there is nothing spicier than lingerie, yet consider that you are and your husband are just getting to know each other on a much more intimate level than previously, no matter how long you were dating prior to your wedding. Purchasing lingerie that is too revealing or perhaps a bit too racy will not set a good tone but instead may create more anxiety than it will soothe. At the same time, remember that you need to feel comfortable with the pieces you are wearing. Do not purchase something because you think your spouse will like it even if to you it does neither look nor feel comfortable.

Pay close attention to the materials of the lingerie you are choosing. Just because you will err on the conservative side does not mean that you cannot luxuriate in the sumptuous materials! Find those that feel great against your skin and are very comfortable, while staying away from those which are scratchy or unyielding.

Of course, are you are perusing the selection of a nice little something to slip into for yourself, do not forget your spouse! Purchase some silk pajamas which look nice and feel great. Once again, it is a good idea to err on the side of conservative and not go too wild either with respect to the color selection or the cut of the material. Matching bathrobes will round out the ensemble as well as serve as a reaffirmation of your new joint life together.
