When your catches are not as you wish there are many tricks to try; and improving the pulling-power of your hook baits is just one of these but it is a massively important one! Carp can be very difficult to tempt when previously hooked before on any bait, so aiming to make your hook baits unique can really pay-off. Liquid bait soaks have always been successful but you can make you own homemade ones very easily…

Oil rich dips and those rich in amino acids are outstanding and can come from simple homemade sources like tinned tuna oil mixed with liver pate and garlic salt for instance. Or maybe try shrimp paste with diluted fruit cordial juice and yeast extract; you do not need to spend a fortune on readymade dips or soaks etc. Don’t boil your hook baits; steam them instead to allow far more nutritional attraction and stimulation to release into the water instead of being sealed inside and largely wasted!

Coating your baits in even simple paste or dough bait certainly increases catches. Because most of the stimuli which incite fish feeding are water soluble, it is sensible to get many soluble attractors in your paste for best effect! There are many feeding triggers in fish and using mashed tinned fish like tuna, anchovy or salmon to make paste to go around your hook baits is easy; just mix with eggs and wheat flour or with ground dog mixers to bind!

Many anglers under-exploit their readymade baits they use because they have a relatively impervious surface. You can break-up this surface with a baiting needle, or sharp pointed knife or scissors to get more attraction out of your bait. Making your hook baits irregular shapes with irregular surfaces helps by making fish think your bait has been previously chewed on by other fish and so is safer.

The act of putting paste on all your free baits as well as around your hook baits can truly produce great catches; it sounds like hard work but that’s why it works; just like in any endeavour! This paste or dough bait covering can be anything and put around anything used as a hook bait; do not be a slave to convention! Even using a Scopex flavoured dough bait around a salmon flavoured boilie is different enough to produce great catches even if it is still a relatively very conventional combination.

You might like to try using paste around buoyant baits like pop-ups. Your hook bait and paste covering do not need to be like each other to produce great catches; in fact far from it! The method of coating a pop-up bait with a very different dough is a huge edge and is very well recommended!

Many big fish can tell which baits are hook baits by their behaviour in the water and their weight and buoyancy. Using a more buoyant hook bait can seriously fool these fish where blank sessions could well occur on mere conventional bottom baits! It might come as a surprise but you can easily make pastes from scalded pellets and other baits too.

It is beyond question that carp and many other fish learn through experience and repetition not least in regards being hooked on any particular bait or rig. Obviously the greatest edge is to make sure your baits represent as little association with any previous encounter as possible; and even instil confident feeding. Fish certainly remember far longer than just seconds or individual fish would always be easy to catch every time, so do yourself a favour and look further into how to make your baits different; and reap the huge rewards – this fishing bait secrets ebooks author has many more fishing and bait edges; just one could impact very significantly on your catches!

Have you ever wondered how it is to actually travel alone? Well, I know because I have been backpacking. I know how it feels to go to a new place and learn something new, and also make new friends. If you don’t know anything about backpacking, read this article because I am going to offer you some tips/reasons.

Backpacking is a low cost travel. Backpackers often travel to a lot of places and they budget their amount of money used for travel. So, if you think you are up for it go ahead and start packing for your trip.

You do not want to travel because no one wants to follow you? Well, don’t worry. You can go on your own. Let me tell you why.

One thing for sure; you won’t be alone for long. When you travel alone it does not mean it has to be a lonely trip. Here is the first tip on making friends while traveling.

From experience, I think that the easiest and most efficient way to make friends is by taking part in group activities like scuba diving or riding ATVs. If you are staying in a hostel, I am sure there are people around who travel in groups. Why don’t you just ask with a smile if you can join them?

Another reason to go backpacking is because you need to cut loose from your life. Traveling on your own lets you literally leave everything behind – work, family and friends.

Well if you are living behind your boy/girlfriend, here’s a tip that I can offer you. You should take a timeout before you leave. Well, if you are in a serious relationship the I suggest that you both should come out with ground rules when you are away.

Backpacking alone is a great step for first timers to take. If you don’t want to get lost I think that you should know what you are doing.

You should do some read ups and research before going on your journey. Having a limited amount of money can be difficult but if you learn how to manage your money well, you should be fine.

Dealing with unfamiliar things around you can be overwhelming. But, the learning experience you get from backpacking cannot be bought with any amount of money.

I always carry a guide book or a book which translates English into a native language around. Trust me, it helps. This sounds corny but you can consider carrying a picture of your family with you, in case you get home sick.

Some people go backpacking because they want to learn new things and experience a different lifestyle. Some go because they want to bring home a whole new perspective of life.

What more can you ask for? Gain as much knowledge by experiencing what locals do and how they spend their day.

Now that you know this, what are you waiting for? You should take this opportunity to get your mind relaxed.

The eyes too need to be protected and a pair or two of sunglasses is the perfect way to add that extra bit of protection.

If backpacking and hiking in the winter, make sure to include a whistle that is made of plastic and that does not contain a “pea” that may freeze inside the whistle.

Water, water and more water. Many beginning backpacking or hiking people think the water they need to take is always in the liquid form. But, that is not the best choice when trying to keep your pack light. Today there are many water filtration systems that can filter anything and everything from the water. These are perfect to use as a backup when the liquid of life has run out when backpacking or hiking.

Starting a fire. For those overnight trips, a firestarter or set of waterproof matches are ideal for a little warmth and a warm meal. But, many backpacking and hiking trips are only day trips and the backpacking and hiking team feel they may not need these things. One the contrary, as a safety measure, every member should include a way to start a fire in their packing essentials.

First aid out of doors. A first aid kit is needed for every pack. Backpacking and hiking takes places in environments that can lead to cuts, bruises and other forms of injuries. A first aid kit in every backpack can help to ensure the safety and health of all backpacking and hiking team members. Within these first aid kits should also be a pocket knife and a pocket tool set.

Don’t get lost. Getting lost is one of the worst feelings of all time. A compass and a map can help to keep all backpacking and hiking team members on the right trail throughout the trip. These two essentials are the ones that are forgotten a lot of times when packing the bundles for the trip. Every member of the backpacking and hiking team should have access to a compass and map.

Hiking and backpacking are great ways to get a little physical activity and become better acquainted with nature and life outside. Together as a team, the backpacking and hiking group needs to make sure that every pack includes these essentials as a base and build the pack from there.

When you are getting ready to take that long overdue family camping vacation, you want to know that you have cookware that you can rely on. In order to get the most out of your cookware, this article will explain the things that you should look out for.

User Friendly

When buying camping cookware, one good rule to follow is keep it simple. The next other important point to look out for, is whether it could double for something else. You want to be able to use the same type of plate/bowl, whether is it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is also worth considering when buying eating utensils. Your should be able to find a knife that can very easily be turned into a fork or vice versa. This will not only save you some cash but your goal is to carry the least amount of items as possible and it is great when quite a few of them can be used for lots of different tasks.

Last A Long Time

When it comes to camping cookware, most campers would have durability as their number one priority. Camping cookware does go through a lot over the years and spending a little extra on cast iron cookware for camping is sometimes very wise. Further more, if you have to pack up and leave in a hurry, you don’t want to have to spend a very long time packing or having to worry that your cookware will still remain in one piece.

If visiting lots of different towns is what you have based your up and coming camping trip around, then you do not want to waste your precious time with packing and unpacking your cookware every time you are on the move again. This is another reason why you should maybe consider cast iron cookware for camping before purchasing camping cookware.

Cleaning Made Easy

Unfortunately, every time any piece of cookware is used, it needs to be cleaned at some point in the future before being reused. This is more applicable to camping cookware as your goal is not to carry too many items but a few items that can serve several roles. The trick is to find cookware that is easy to clean, does not stain easily and can be washed quickly with just some soap. Cast iron cookware for camping is not only the most durable camping cookware that you can get, but it will also meet all of the criteria listed above.

Value For Money

When deciding to purchase camping cookware, ask yourself this question. Do you want cookware that you will probably have to replace on your next trip or spend a little extra on cast iron cookware for camping that will last a life time?

Quality cast iron camping cookware can be quite expensive so if you are just starting out, or if your budget is tight, you should probably consider used or second hand items instead. A good idea, is also to find a good balance between cast iron and normal cookware and slowly replace the non cast iron items over time.

A quick search on the Internet should be able to solve that problem and with sites like Ebay, your search may not even last that long.
