If you are a female golfer looking for ladies golf clubs that actually fit you will know that this is not an easy task even though many more women now play golf.

Find the right equipment for playing golf, for both men and women, is always a compromise as the same equipment is never the right fit for everyone.

Fewer Women then Men need Golf Clubs

Unfortunately golf clubs are not an exception and the problem becomes even more acute when trying to find suitable clubs for a lady golfer. Mainly this is due to a much smaller market for ladies golf clubs and the fact that development and manufacturing costs of any high specification item continue to be high.

Sometimes a lucky lady will find just one she needs in a golf club straight off the shelf but it is definitely more usual for this not to occur. What normally happens is that the search for a ladies golf club that is comfortable to use takes a long time to find and this becomes an even longer process when the complete golf club set is required.

Women Are Different Than Men

Many different factors come in to play least of all the fact that women are physically different than men and because of this they often have specific needs from a golf clubs that are also different. Some clubs maybe too stiff or even too flexible and the woman golfer is unlikely to have the right swing for a mans club.

Lighter weight clubs may help to increase swing speed for longer shots but then there is a possibility of loosing the control that would be provided by a heavier club. Club length is also very important as women tend to be shorter than men and the clubs they need will have to be shorter to give a more comfortable fit in the hands of the lady golfer.

It always pats to test the exact fit and comfort factor of potential golf clubs before making a final choice. For ladies this may mean a lot of research and testing before they get the clubs that they want.

Try Custom Build or Specialist Female Clubs

Many golf equipment companies now make golf clubs just for women, including wedges, woods and irons, that are design with meeting the criteria that lady golfers need. These clubs are often lighter in the hand and will contribute greatly to a better golf game for females and more progress than with standard clubs.

As female golfers improve and progress then the demand for that perfect set of golf clubs will become greater and greater. Then the only solution may be to buy an set of custom made golf clubs to that perfect fit across the range.

There will be additional costs to pay for ladies golf clubs that are custom made. The upside of this though is that the golf game of anyone that makes this bigger investment is likely to improve quicker and to a higher level and that will make it worthwhile.

Fortunately there are now more specialized womens golf clubs on the market than there used to be, but it is still not as easy as it should be for a lady golfer to find the right clubs to suit her style and level of golf.

Do Not Give Up

Bad equipment will hold back any lady golfer so it is important to find what you really need as soon as you can and getting the right equipment is essential if you want to progress.
