Personal Development Secrets
Personal development is becoming more and more popular. If that term were used 10 years ago, not many would know the meaning. Anyways, personal development mp3s are becoming the new craze because they are so practical and easy and anyone can listen to them. If you are serious about personal development you need an Ipod. Why? Because it’s portable, and organized.
Sure, other mp3 players play mp3s but I find the Ipods easy to manage and use. Although sometimes I wish I could create play lists on the go. However, the benefits far out weight the drawbacks. What I do is setup a play list for every type of development I want to accomplish. For example, I will setup a play list for weight loss, procrastination, being present or conscious, and other personal traits I want to improve.
I listen to these mp3s whenever I get the chance. Right before bed I use listen to a relaxing type like hypnosis, or something else quiet and that doesn’t require a lot of thought or concentration. This helps me relax and fall asleep easily. I usually setup a play list that last only 2-3 mp3s. That way it will just turn itself off when it’s done and I don’t waste the batteries.
When I purchased my Ipod, I went all out and bought the video Ipod, which was worth the money. I downloaded Oprah’s web casts on “A New Earth” and watch them whenever I am in a waiting room or somewhere that I am waiting on something.
Actually it also came in handy when I had my last baby. I put some movies on it for my husband, and while I was patiently waiting to have the baby, my husband could watch movies. Also, after the little girl came into this world, it was nice to keep us occupied while waiting to be discharged.
Another great time when it was convenient was when I had car trouble and had to wait hours for rescuing in the middle of no where. I was able to watch Oprah and Eckhart chat it up. It could have been a terrible experience, but turned out to be a nice quiet time for mewhich isn’t often.
Driving to and from work proved to be another good time to slow my mind and relax. If you are like me, my drive home from work used to consist of going over what I did, and trying to organize my time for the next morning. When I went to sleep at night, all I could think about was work. I wanted it to end and I wanted to help make myself a better person.
Before my personal development days, it would take me at least an hour, if not two to get to sleep at night. My mind was always racing; usually about work. When I did fall asleep, I would dream about work. First thing in the morning, when I wake upI thought about work. I kept thinking “STOP, STOP, I have more important things to think about.”
Now, it takes me less than 10 minutes to fall asleep. From the time I lay my head down, to deep sleep. I am so happy. I get a better night sleep and wake up happier in the morning. I have changed my life for the better.
