Ah, the wonderful world of bikini tops – cleavage, pushups, padded, support, full-figured – all the words that come to mind when you’re thinking of a bikini top. But other questions may come to mind, too – ones that may not be so obvious. So we’ve gathered these Top 10 Questions about Bikini tops – for your support! How do I find the right size bikini top?

How do I find the right size bikini top? This is the most common question asked by women regarding bikini tops. Although bikini tops are an article of clothing, they have to cover a lot of areas of the body – the breasts, the sides, the back, the shoulders. That’s a lot of places that a bikini top has to fit – and fit comfortably. But bikini top manufacturers have answered the call. There are so many different styles of bikini tops, each with their own unique shape and size – one to fit every woman. If you don’t know what size of bikini top you need, then it’s important to get properly measured. There are many websites that offer measuring charts. They’ll explain exactly how and where you measure yourself to get the ultimate fit and comfort you need as you move around in your active life.

I do a lot of running and jogging – is there a good bikini top for me? Absolutely. There’s a wide variety of sports bikini tops available today, specifically designed to give you maximum comfort and support, as well as keep you cool. Regular bikini tops can be restrictive, which is the last thing you need to think about while you’re exercising. Sports bikini tops are made to move with you, giving you the opportunity to get the most out of your active life. And they come in a variety of styles, and a wide array of colors. So you’ll be looking sharp as well as be in shape.

Should I buy an underwire bikini top? Since there are so many styles of bikini tops to choose from, you need to consider the two main components of bikini top fitting – comfort and practicality. Underwire bikini tops are designed for extra support. They maintain the shape of the bikini top, while providing the necessary supporting tension. Underwire bikini tops don’t have to be uncomfortable. In fact, they’re very well made these days. As long as you have the right size, an underwire bikini top will provide you with the support you need, while remaining comfortable.

How do I stop my bikini top straps from slipping off my shoulder? If you have the right size bikini top, the straps shouldn’t slip off your shoulder. It’s surprising how many women wear the wrong size bikini top, and that’s one of the results. You should hook your bikini top in the middle hook to get the best fit. What that does is align the shoulder straps properly.
If your shoulders are slanted, then you can buy special shoulder pads and back straps to help keep the straps in place. You could also buy a T-back bikini top, or you could get one that hooks in front. That should solve your strap-slipping problem.

I’m pregnant – when should I start wearing a maternity bikini top? As your breasts grow during pregnancy, you’ll obviously need to get a larger size bikini top than your regular one. Maternity bikini tops are specially designed for flexibility, so they’ll grow with the ribcage, as well as the breasts. Regular bikini tops don’t expand like that. You’ll need to wear a maternity bikini top starting in your fourth or fifth month of pregnancy.

When will they make a nursing bikini top? You should switch from a maternity bikini top to a nursing bikini top a month or two before your due date. Your nursing bikini top could be up to two sizes bigger than your maternity bikini top but, of course, that changes from one woman to the other. So make sure you measure yourself properly, because when you’re nursing and taking care of a baby, you have too much on your mind to be bothered by an uncomfortable bikini top.The main difference between a maternity bikini top and a nursing bikini top is the fold-down flap that allows you to breastfeed at your leisure. Other than that, they’re both designed for extra support and comfort.

What’s the best type of fabric for a bikini top? Bikini tops are made from so many different fabrics these days. Again, designers are diversifying to make sure that there’s a specific bikini top for every use. Sports bikini tops are made from stretchy but strong fabrics that breathe well. Full-figured bikini tops are made from fabrics with a higher elastic content, but with stronger fibers. An example of some of the types of fabrics used to make bikini tops are 100% cotton and cotton blends, synthetics like microfiber and nylon, spandex, and Satin Finish Lycra. And there are others, too. So when you’re choosing a bikini top, find out what fabric it’s made out of and make sure it’s compatible with your use.

What are my choices in styles of bikini tops? Bikini tops and lingerie designers are aware of the wide variety of activities and situations women are involved in these days. That’s why they’ve made so many different styles and colors of bikini tops. There isn’t a single activity you can name that there isn’t a specific bikini top for. And they follow women right through their lives. As girls develop into women, there’s a full line of first-time bikini tops, like the Teen Form’s My First Bikini top line. For the larger women, there’s a wide variety of choices in plus size and full-figured bikini tops. They even make water bikini tops and gel bikini tops now, that conform to the lines of your figure. And if you want that provocative look, there’s a full line of sexy bikini tops available, in pretty lace patterns. You have all kinds of choices.

What’s the hot style in bikini tops these days? Basic bikini top styles change regularly throughout the years. It’s sometimes hard to keep up with them, they come and go so fast. But today, the most popular style is the push-up bikini tops. Cleavage is in, so to speak, and it doesn’t take bikini top manufacturers long to jump on the bandwagon. You’ll need to keep an ear out for the fashion experts if you want to be wearing the “in” thing.

What are the popular bikini tops and where can I get them online? Bikini tops companies know how popular online shopping is, so they’ve made their bikini tops available on the Internet. There are some great online bikini top sites that’ll give you all the information about styles, colors, bikini top names – everything you need to know.

Over the last several years, Panerai watches have earned a worldwide reputation for excellence in design and performance. Although the Panerai name has been synonymous with quality and design for well over one hundred years among collectors and other cognoscenti, new models of these precision watches were unavailable for purchase abroad until around 1998.

Since then, demand has soared to the point that Panerai watches are now among the most sought-after watches in the world. Some models are very difficult to find. Panerai watches continue to build on a rich history that goes back to the nineteenth century. This article contains a concise history of the Panerai watch, the watch preferred by Italian divers for almost a century.

Early History: The Founding of the Panerai Watch Company

In 1860, Giovanni Panerai opened his watch-making shop in Florence, Italy. Florence’s first watchmaker, G. Panerai & Co., quickly established a reputation for making exquisitely crafted watches. Knowing that Swiss watch craftsmanship was unparalleled, Panerai contacted the most prestigious Swiss watch manufacturers and began modeling his Panerai watches around the precisely crafted and dependable Swiss model. Over time, the business flourished. When Giovanni died, his son Leon Francesco Panerai took over his father’s workshop and continued to build upon the Panerai reputation for excellence.

In time, Leon’s son Guido also joined the business and started a new venture named Guido Panerai and Figliothe. This business focused on designing and manufacturing high-precision mechanical instruments for many different clients. Word of this new company’s expertise spread, and eventually, Guido was contacted by the Royal Italian Navy. Shortly thereafter, Panerai and Figliothe became the navy’s official supplier of optical and navigational mechanical devices, and the company was renamed Officine Panerai.

Middle History: Descendants Building on the Panerai Legacy for Excellence

Around the turn of the century, when the Italians were developing a new kind of navy with metal ships and divers, naval officers asked Guido to develop a watch with a luminous face and hands. Early successes with luminous materials for the watch led to larger contracts with the navy for luminous instrument dials, nighttime sighting devices for naval gunnery, and a wide range of other mechanical instruments that could calculate depth, timing, and range to targets. As the demand for these instruments grew, the Officine Panerai company continued to grow, too.

In the early 1930s, Guido’s children, Giuseppe and Maria, continued their father’s work with Maria focusing on the watch-making part of the business and Giuseppe working mainly on expanding the company’s long relationship with the Italian Navy. He continued to develop and manufacture luminous devices for divers, including wrist compasses, depth gauges, and a wide range of other fine mechanical equipment designed for underwater performance. In 1936, the navy asked Giuseppe to design and build an underwater watch that could withstand extreme conditions. The first Panerai Radiomir watch prototype passed all testing protocols.

As World War II loomed, the navy needed all the equipment that the Panerais could make, especially diver’s watches. In 1943, the first Panerai Mare Nostrum chronograph was introduced for naval officers, although the watch never went into production. In 1949, a patent was issued for the Panerai Luminor. This model effectively replaced the Radiomir. Work continued, with craftsmen focused on creating Panerai watch models able to perform at greater and greater depths. Until the end of the 1980s, new Panerai watches were made exclusively for military clients; however, the company made their watches available to the public in the early 1990s.

Recent History: A New Beginning

In 1997, the Panerai Company was acquired by the Richemont Group. This company already owned the rights to other prestigious watchmakers such as Cartier, IWC, and others. The Richemont Group made Panerai watches available internationally, and suddenly, this coveted watch that was once available to a select few could be purchased in fine watch and jewelry shops around the world.

Knowing they stood to make a fortune with this new acquisition, Richemont reintroduced the Panerai Radiomir and Panerai Luminor, as well as a line of contemporary models inspired by the unique aesthetics of Panerai design. The future of Panerai watches and the people who love them appears to be quite promising. New models are expected to be rolled out for the foreseeable future. Of course, all new models will adhere to Giovanni Panerai and his descendants? strict standards for craftsmanship and performance.

The usual finds for pearl jewelry are stud earrings, bracelets and strands or necklaces, but what do you do if you are tired of the typical pearl jewelry? Well, designer pearl jewelry may be just what you need to enhance your pearl jewelry collection. Fortunately, you do not need to travel overseas to find the best pearls and unique designs.

In fact, finding designer pearl jewelry is probably closer than you think. Now, if you have the opportunity to travel to Japan at some point, keep in mind that Japan is one place where you can find a multitude of pearl jewelry designs. But, for most not planning a trip to Japan, finding a quality pearl jewelry designer does not have to be a great challenge.

It really isn’t, actually. Think about how unique you want the piece to be. This will help determine where you should focus your search. For example, if you are seeking a single carat diamond ring with small embedded pearls, a custom design jeweler can certainly help you. It is important to have at least some knowledge about pearls before you meet with a jeweler so that you can be sure to get exactly what you want. The ability to have an educated discussion with the jeweler makes the entire process much easier for all parties involved.

Pearls are graded by size, color, luster and smoothness. The smoother and whiter the pearl is, the better grade but luster cannot be overlooked as it is the iridescence found on quality pearls. If it is flat and has no luster, it is, quite frankly, not a good quality pearl. Regardless of size, if it does not have shine initially, then it never will have the shine most seek in a pearl.

Further, cost and size are interrelated when it comes to quality pearl jewelry, but this does not imply that small pearls are of a poor quality. The pearl’s size should enhance the main jewelry piece, not detract from the entire design. If you want a pearl to accent a single carat diamond ring, you are likely not going to want a large pearl even though the larger pearls are more expensive. It is important to consider the entire jewelry piece to be designed.

Once you have found the right jewelry designer, you are one step closer to making your dreams come true and finding the perfect pearl jewelry design to add to your collection. In a few short weeks, the jeweler will be ready to hand the original design to you so you can begin wearing you unique piece and enjoy the known elegance and luxury of pearls but in your own special way. A simple strand of pearls can turn into a jewelry piece with flair never to be matched.

Mexican food has enjoyed great popularity in America for years. From burritos to enchiladas, Mexican recipes are the pride of many an American cook and the colorful, spicy, delicious dishes grace many a table. Nevertheless, what is the story behind the cuisine? A little Mexican food history can spice up your kitchen and shed some light on the roots of many or our favorite dishes.

Case in point: when the Spanish invaded Mexico in 1521, they brought with them many new varieties of livestock including pigs, cows and sheep, the likes of which Mexico had never seen. The Spanish explorer Cortez introduced Mexico to these and other foods such as dairy products, garlic and other spices as well as dairy products like cheese. Mexican food also has strong roots in the ancient Mayan culture.

Although Cortez brought new foods to Mexico, Mexico also showed him a thing or two. He encountered a few new food items as well. He was introduced to peanuts, chocolate, vanilla, beans, avocados, coconuts, corn, squash, and tomatoes. It was a great effort of give and take and these foods have all worked together over then centuries to produce wonderful Mexican dishes.

Mexican food history is an interesting mixture of cultures. Many of the Mexican foods that are so-called “traditional” are actually rooted in other cultures in addition to the Mexican culture. Take quesadillas as an example. This mainstay of Mexican families is often considered to be quintessential Mexican, but in actuality, it takes its components from other cultures. The corn tortilla, the foundation for the quesadilla, is actually a Native American creation.

Other staples in Mexican food, lettuce, beef, cheese and pork, are actually Spanish in origin. One standard in every Mexican restaurant and most Mexican dishes, though, the hot sauce made from chili peppers, is indeed Mexican. One interesting Mexican food history fact, though, is that many spices such as cinnamon, black pepper, oregano and coriander, which are generally thought to be Mexican are actually Spanish. While these spices are quite often used in many Mexican dishes, they are not native to Mexico.

In addition to the Mayans, Native Americans and Spanish influencing Mexican food, the French also left their mark. When Mexico was briefly under French occupation in the 1860’s, popular dishes such as chiles en nogado, a dish of stuffed chilies in walnut sauce, was a result. These dishes sport a distinct French flair, but have become a standard part of Mexican culture.

One of the most popular adaptations of Mexican food and an integral part of Mexican food history is the influence from the Southwest United States, namely southern Texas. This style of Mexican food, dubbed “Tex-Mex” has become a favorite of people all over the world. North meets south in this cultural combination of northern Mexico and Southwestern Texas. In many restaurants today, it is more Tex-Mex than authentic Mexican food that is being served.

Mexican food history has enjoyed many different cultural influences, making it varied and rich. This variety of cultural adaptations makes Mexico a veritable melting pot of culinary experiences. This has worked in its favor, though, with delicious dishes and are popular and fun – to eat and to create.

Today nearly nine million teens under the age of 15 are obese, but since 1980 the number of obese teenagers has tripled. The rise in teen-age obesity is staggering. It is even more difficult for teens to be overweight due to health risks and social repercussions.

Accompanying the increase in obesity in children is an upsurge in type two diabetes diagnoses. The increased incidence of obesity has also caused an increase in this form of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes can cause renal failure, blindness, and even death.

Sleep apnea causes those who have it to stop breathing for a brief time during sleep. People that are obese can suffer from sleep apnea, because it can cause breathing problems when lying down. The oxygen insufficiency which results may, depending on the circumstances, lead to major problems ranging from heart and brain damage to death.

Reasearch has recetnly shown that asthma could be related to obesity. In people who are severely overweight, the airways become narrowed due to the under-expansion of their lungs. It has been found that the obese have common low-quality general swelling, this irritations can cause restraints of the air passages when soft muscle tissue are affected.

It’s difficult, but teens need to worry about their body’s health and other things. Overweight teenagers often report that school is a horrifying experience for them. Other kids are cruel and say nasty things to them. Adding to the growing list of problems, overweight teens often become very withdrawn and suffer from depression due to their weight.

Teen eating habits can be attributed to obesity. Teens are known for their preference for junk food. There are alot of schools that no longer allow snack machines that contain unhealthy snacks. They have replaced them with juice, water, and healthy snacks.

The teenager should begin changing their diet at home to go one-step further. Instead for healthy home cooked meals, they are so in love with and opt to stop eating the high calorie fast food.

To slowly introduce healthier choices in your diet, is the best plan. Three regular meals per day and two snacks. Throw away packaged foods in favor of home made. Beginning any meal with a small amount of food on your plate -remember they do not have to clean the plate!- and eating it in a slow, deliberate manner is the basis of “portion control.” Eating several servings of fruits and vegetables will help you balance your diet. Sometimes the feeling of thirst can make us think we’re hungry, drinking plenty of water and staying well hydrated is important and allows your body to function better.

Teenagers are getting less and less in the way of exercise. Increased television access, internet surfing and video games have made many a teenager almost sedentary. Take the television out of the bedroom and insist on viewing limits. Instead go for a walk as a family, or perhaps get bikes for everyone.

You could even do your housework in a way that you could get some exercise while doing them. Providing movement is your aim no matter what is necessary.

The words chocolate and weight loss don’t usually coincide. However, with the benefits of healthy chocolate, the two can now coexist.

Doctors and scientists alike have recently been touting the positive benefits that healthy, dark chocolate can have on your body. Although dark chocolate does have many healthful benefits, the vast majority of chocolate products that you find in stores is far from healthy. The reason is simple. These products are loaded with refined sugars, unhealthy fats, and artificial preservatives. None of these have the positive benefits that dark chocolate does for your health and well-being.

Traditional chocolate also losses much of its nutritional benefits as it is heated during manufacturing. This causes an 80% loss in antioxidant levels.

There is an alternative to the poorly manufactured dark chocolates available in retail stores today. A company named Xocai, a division of the MXI Corporation, is based out of Reno, Nevada. This company has made available to the market an all natural, nutritionally dense form of cacao. The cacao is allowed to preserve its nutritional value due to the manufacturing process. Instead of heating the cacao, it is cold pressed. This maintains the integrity of the chocolates’ healthful benefits.

The 6 products that Xocai has available are: X Power Squares, X Powerhouse Cookie, Activ, Nuggets, Protein Bar, and Omega Bars. All of them are formulated with unprocessed cacao powder, with acai berry and blueberry added to enhance the taste. Antioxidants, flavonoids, high ORAC values, high fiber, and low sugars are just some of the many healthy benefits that the dark chocolate products contain. The are also approved for diabetics, vegetarians, and vegans.

So just how does any of this have an effect on weight loss? Several studies, including one recent study out of Japan, concluded that consumption of cocoa may fight weight gain. While there are several determining factors in this, a few of them are gene regulation and the potential mood elevating chemicals that cocoa contains. These positive chemicals have the added benefits of possibly helping one to feel more energetic, leading to increased exercise, and ultimately leading to weight loss.

It’s true that there are several biochemical responses taking place, but on top of that you are also consuming a healthier, more organic form of chocolate. For example, if you ingest a form of healthy dark chocolate instead of a Milky Way bar, what would you think that the difference would be? Not only is the healthy dark chocolate low in sugar, fat, and calories, but it is also high in fiber, antioxidants, ORAC value, and flavonoids. This is a stark contrast to the unhealthy Milky Way bar.

Fortunately, you don’t have to sacrifice taste either. The healthy dark chocolate products marketed by Xocai are reported to be very tasty. There are many positive testimonials from product users that make taking a look at the products worth your time.

When people talk about the first wristwatch worn on the moon, they are referring to the Omega Speedmaster Professional chronograph. Ever since that milestone in human history, this Omega model has been referred to as the ‘Moon Watch’, but this self-winding chronograph was introduced many years earlier, in 1957. At the time, Omega could never have imagined that this particular model would be forever associated with such an extraordinary achievement. But the Omega Speedmaster earned the opportunity through an extremely rigorous vetting process. This process eliminated wristwatches from all of the other competing watch manufacturers who coveted the once-in-a-lifetime marketing opportunity.

The history of this watch and American space travel precedes that historic July day in 1969 by a few years. The first Omega Speedmaster to leave Earth’s atmosphere was worn on the wrist of Walter Schirra aboard the Sigma 7 in 1962. NASA requested that astronauts wear wristwatches for space travel as a matter of practicality in the event that onboard systems failed. Initially, the make and model of watch was up to the astronauts, but as the space program advanced, NASA decided that something as important as reliable timekeeping in space could not be left to chance. So NASA started a testing program that involved buying watches from several manufacturers and subjecting them to a regimen of different tests that simulated the changing conditions of space travel.

These watches were subjected to: extremes in temperature, exposure to a vacuum environment, up to 12 Gs of gravitational force, violent shaking, and other tests to ensure that the watches were anti-magnetic, shockproof, and waterproof. After extensive testing, the watch NASA chose was an Omega Speedmaster that had been bought over the counter at a Houston jewelry store. The Speedmaster became standard-issue for Apollo astronauts. During missions, most astronauts wore one Speedmaster set to Mission Elapsed Time and another set to Houston local time.

While there is no disputing that the Swiss-made Omega Speedmaster was the first watch worn on the surface of the moon, there has been a minor dispute over which astronaut was the first to walk on the moon while wearing one. During that historic Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were given a window of two hours and forty minutes to explore the moon’s surface with the Omega Speedmaster strapped to the outsides of their spacesuits. Adding to this watch’s already remarkable history, the Speedmaster worn by Aldrin ended up tracking this period of time, as the onboard timer on the Lunar Module failed shortly after landing and could not be restarted.

According to Aldrin, during the moon walk, Armstrong left his Speedmaster chronograph on the module as a backup. In fact, it was Aldrin’s Speedmaster that was the first wristwatch worn on the moon’s surface. This Omega was to be donated to the Smithsonian Institute to be included in a collection of Aldrin’s other equipment. However, it was stolen sometime in the years after the moonwalk and has never been recovered.

A year later, during the Apollo 13 mission, the NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster had a far more crucial role. After an explosion on the service module rendered several critically important systems inoperable, scrapped plans to land on the moon again, and endangered the astronauts, lives, Commander James Lovell’s Speedmaster became an essential life- and mission-saving tool.

The crew of Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Jim Haies had to power down all systems except for the radio receiver to conserve energy. All the timed engine burns programmed into the vessel’s computer to enable the astronauts to re-enter Earth’s atmosphere were now out of service. Using only his Speedmaster chronograph, Lovell and his crew were able to time the duration and intervals of engine thrusts, and the men and their vessel safely returned home.

In the years since, Omega Speedmaster chronographs have continued their remarkable service on the first space shuttle mission and subsequent missions. These watches have been selected by the former Soviet Union for their space program. The Omega Speedmaster watch remains the only NASA flight-qualified watch for space walks, and has been consistently retested by NASA to ensure performance. To this day, this model is still the only watch “Flight-Qualified by NASA for all Manned Space Missions,” and has served the American and Russian space programs with distinction since the early 1960s.

The Omega Speedmaster Professional chronograph is still in production today. The very same model preferred by NASA and the men and women who crew missions for space exploration can be purchased at fine jewelry stores around the world. Buying a Speedmaster allows the owner to wear an extraordinary piece of history with a record of performance that is, literally, out of this world.
