Unique Halloween Costume Ideas for Gadget Lovers
People who love gadgets are not usually considered to be very creatively or artistically-inclined, as they are seen as being only technical. You wouldn’t think they would get totally into creating cool costumes for Halloween. But there are quite a few interesting costumes for just such a crowd.
Dressing up as an iPhone would be a very timely costume right now, as they are so popular! An iPhone costume would definitely be a hit and could be easily made out of cardboard and paint. Or if you would rather not wear a cardboard box all night, you could wear a black sweatshirt, with the easily-recognized iPhone icons painted on the front of it.
Dressing up as an iPhone is another way that a gadget-lover might have fun on Halloween night! iPhones are a very hot item right now, so that costume would definitely be a hit! You could also easily make this costume out of cardboard and paint. Or if you would rather not be wearing a box all night, you could wear a black sweatshirt, with all of the iPhone icons painted onto it.
One way to haunt a room full of geeks is to dress up as the dreaded ‘Blue Screen of Death’! Just like the iPhone, you could make this costume out of cardboard or wear a blue sweatshirt. On whichever you choose, you will paint the words, “Exception Fatal Error”. You might scare all of the computer geeks into not even wanting to sit next to you, lest you jinx them!
Another great gadget-y costume would be to dress up as an Xbox. Everyone will know what that big, green X is right away! All you have to do is dress in all black, long sleeves and pants and a black hat. Then have a small black box around your midsection and paint a lovely green X on it! You will be recognized immediately by the gamers in the room!
Another funny thing to dress as would be a Rubik’s cube. For this costume, you would need a large cardboard box cut up into three sections. On the top section, you need to cut a whole for your head, being careful to make the hole the same size as one colored cube. On the bottom of the box, you will cut a hole for your waist. Then you paint on all of the colored squares and tie the three sections together with string and you are now a favorite game from the 1980s!
