How to get to iBiza
June 6, 2008 – 11:06 pmGetting to iBiza from the UK is easy. The best and cheapest way is via a package deal that will include flights transfers and accommodation.
Thompson Fly, EasyJet, Monarch and Flybe all do relatively cheap flights from most UK airports.
If you prefer a ‘do it yourself’ holiday there are scheduled flights seven days a week with Iberia plus less frequent flights with many other airlines. Going charter is much cheaper, however the flight dates and times will be much less flexible.
The 2 hour flight should cost you from 60 early in the season, rising to around 350 peak season. The cheaper flights can be found on the internet.
You can save some money by talking a budget flight to Barcelona and then changing to Spanair, Iberia or Air Europa once there. Expect to wait a few hours for your connection.
The airport cue for the taxi in iBiza can be quite fierce. Be ready to wait a while and then expect to pay around 50 to get to most parts of the island.
There are many places to hire a car at the airport but you may prefer to hire one from Playa den Bossa where you’ll get a better deal. It’s only a short ride by cab.
