Creating a Wedding day Photo Album
May 13, 2008 – 11:08 pmMost wedding photo albums are pretty much the same as they were fifty years ago but technology is starting to allow more modern variations on this. Etiquette tells us to place the bride alone on the first page of the photo album; another link to the past when her mother probably had the same honor. This image is then followed by images of the bride and groom together immediately after the ceremony.
It would be unfair and impolite not to show off the whole wedding party in the wedding photo album next especially when they have gone too so much trouble to look their best for the day. This is of course is the group of people that play a part in the days activities like the bridesmaids and the best man for example. Etiquette then dictates that the bride has some images of her and all the bridesmaids that attend her on the big day.
The next two sections are those reserved for the groom and his family and then the bride and her family. Most wedding photo albums are very elaborate with highly decorated covers and inner pages. The wedding photo album will probably be a book with an elegant cover in white and the design will usually have wedding bells, rings or bouquets on the cover.
The wedding photos will be presented in a form that guarantees attention in an album that will probably be trimmed in silver. However, almost all wedding photographers have ‘gone digital’ so they can supply traditional photos on paper in addition to those that can be stored on a compact disc or a digital versatile disc (DVD). With digital media so inexpensive these days you can almo st guarantee that the whole album will be available on a disc which can contain every image at a fraction of the cost.
These are easily sent to the guests so everyone gets a copy, and the computer discs are much easier to store than the traditional wedding photo albums. Just as easy as looking at these images on a TV, people can print off copies whenever they want. This approach makes it easy to view the images on a computer screen and even carry out home printing if preferred.
