Given all that is involved in planning a large formal wedding, it’s no wonder many people are choosing to elope. If you want to find a romantic and intimate setting, but not break the bank on expense, consider a bed and breakfast inn in your area. Not only are there some great options available, but the ready-made elopement packages can take a lot of the stress out of the equation.

In Westbrook, Conn., both the Angels Watch Inn and the Westbrook Inn B&B offer elopement specials. At the Angels Watch ceremonies can be performed on the grounds or inside the inn by the fireplace. There is also a gazebo and an arbor, not to mention the beachfront setting. The Westbrook Inn has a package that includes lodging in a Victorian room or in the secluded cottage. Ceremonies can be performed anywhere on or in the bed and breakfast. And, the package comes with photography, a justice of the peace, cake for two, champagne and fresh flowers.

Some Innkeepers Can Even Take Care of the Photography

If Virginia is on your mind, then let White Fence B&B innkeepers Mike and Sally Dixon help you make all of your elopement arrangements. Located in Stanley, Virginia, White Fence B&B offers three different elopement packages. All of the packages include high resolution digital photos taken by Sally, who is an accomplished amateur photographer. This B&B specializes in private two-person ceremonies without guests.

Stay at a Manor

In Richmond, Tex., at The Great Oaks Manor, packages include wedding music, a non-denominational minister, cake for four, floral arrangements, toasting glasses to keep, and a variety of locations for the event. Try the verandah, grand hall with staircase or the garden. Don’t forget the honeymoon suite and breakfast for two the next morning, all part of the package.

Get Wed at a California Bed and Breakfast in the Wine Country

Geyersville, Calif., in the Sonoma Wine Country is the setting for the Hope-Merrill House. Check into the Peacock Room with its whirlpool tub for two and a fireplace. The elopement package ($2,700) comes with a bouquet for the bride, champagne, wedding cake, and photography supplied by the innkeeper. Dinner for the couple is also supplied. Consider getting hitched on the grounds, in the parlor or by the fireplace.
