Custom Stationery

It’s only natural that you want your wedding to be unique. By using custom stationery you can make it very unique to you. Custom stationery is quite flexible too as you can choose the type-face, the color and size of the text and use your own words.

No matter what theme you have set for your wedding, you will surely be able to customize your stationery to compliment the tone. Wedding invitations and accessories can be bought in various styles such as classic, contemporary, floral, embossed, layered and religious.

Selecting A Wedding Theme

Remember, wedding stationery sets the tone and theme of your wedding. Therefore as an example, if you are getting married outdoors in a garden, then you could choose to have floral stationery.

To help blend the theme of your wedding into your wedding stationery, you can use accessories such as hearts, ribbons, rings and which doves for example. These will also blend in with your bridesmaid dresses.

Plan-Ahead

With your wedding invitations being the first formal communication to your guests about your wedding, they really should know well in advance of the date. Below is a check-list to help guide you get organized:-

1. Check, check and check again all the wording on your invitations. Then ask a friend to check, check, check too!

2. Once your venue, date and time of your wedding has been confirmed, you can then order your invitations. Expert wedding planners say to order these about three to six months before the day;

3. When calculating the number of wedding invitations to place on order, it is suggested that you count one invitation per family, couple and single guests.

4. After calculating the number of invitations, add approximately 25 invitations to your order: 10-12 more for keepsakes, plus extras for the last-minute guests. Also, depending on how large your order is, add 25 to 50 additional envelopes in case of mistakes in addressing;

5. Most established wedding planners agree that you should plan to mail your invitations six weeks before the wedding. This gives the guests plenty of time to respond;

6. Take one whole assembled invitation down to the post office to get it weighed and the correct postage assigned to it.

Summary

Don’t underestimate the importance of your wedding stationery. It sets the tone and style of your wedding and portrays the image you want to set. Wedding stationery should tie in with the overall theme of your wedding. Don’t forget to plan ahead.
